PMP Certification Course
The PMP Certification course prepares you for the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification exam from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The course is aligned with the current PMP exam, effective July 9, 2026.
Our PMP Certification Course combines structured exam preparation with comprehensive project management training. You will develop the knowledge and skills covered by the PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and prepare to apply project management concepts through exercises, case studies and exam scenarios.
What is the PMP certification?
The PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an internationally recognised credential awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI). It validates a professional’s knowledge, experience and ability to lead and manage projects.
The PMP exam assesses project management competencies across people, processes and business environment, requiring candidates to apply project management knowledge in different situations.
PMP Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet PMI’s education and project management experience requirements and complete 35 hours of project management training, unless they hold an active CAPM certification. Check the PMI website for the latest official requirements.
How to Obtain the PMP Certification
To obtain the PMP certification, you need to:
- Meet PMI’s eligibility requirements based on your education and project management experience.
- Complete the required 35 hours of project management training, unless you hold an active CAPM certification.
- Submit your application to PMI and provide any supporting documentation requested.
- Pay the certification fee and schedule the PMP exam.
- Pass the PMP exam to obtain the certification.

PMP Exam
The PMP exam assesses the knowledge and skills required to lead projects across predictive, agile and hybrid environments. The exam includes 180 questions, lasts 240 minutes, and covers three domains: People (33%), Process (41%) and Business Environment (26%). It uses different question formats, including scenario-based questions, and includes two 10-minute breaks. Approximately 40% of the questions represent predictive approaches, while the remaining 60% cover adaptive/agile and hybrid approaches.

PMP Training: Classroom
Classroom training combines the presentation and discussion of key topics with practical examples and exercises.
Depending on the course, the training may include:
- Presentation and discussion of the main topics, with examples that facilitate learning.
- Use of relevant templates, checklists and other resources.
- Practical exercises and learning activities.
- Exam preparation questions, including module-specific questions and, where applicable, a final exam.
- Support with developing a study plan and, where applicable, guidance on the individual exam application process.
Online PMP Training: Virtual and E-learning
Virtual courses combine live training with the flexibility of distance learning. Sessions are led by the trainer and allow participants to actively participate, ask questions and complete exercises. During the training, participants can use whiteboards, answer questions, exchange messages and take part in Q&A sessions, among other features.
Since 2010, XPM has also offered e-learning, allowing participants to study at their own pace. When a course is available as e-learning, please refer to the e-learning tab for information about the specific features, resources and terms of that format.

After completing the required training, you can continue with your PMP certification application and exam preparation. The PMP exam is administered by PMI and is not included in the XPM training.
